BUCEA delegation visited MGSU

On August 29, 2023, the delegation of Beijing University of Civil Engineering & Architecture (BUCEA), People’s Republic of China, paid a visit to MGSU. The Chinese side was represented by the Vice President Prof. Chen Hongbin, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Transport Engineering Prof. Ji Jie, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics, Electronics and Automotive Engineering Prof. Yao Dechen, Associate Professor of the School of Urban Economics and Management Ding Rui and Professor of Civil Engineering, Deputy Director of the International Innovation Center of University Deng Yang.

MGSU was represented by the Rector Pavel Akimov, Vice-Rector Vera Galishnikova, Director of the Directorate of Scientific and Technical Projects Oleg Kabantsev, Deputy Director for Contingent and Communications of Institute of Industrial and Civil Engineering Igor Garanzha, Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics, Management and Communications in the Field of Construction and Real Estate Vadim Kankhva, Deputy Director of the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Mechanization Dmitriy Shlychkov, Associate Professor of the Department of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnics of Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Energy Construction Nadezhda Nikitina, Director of the Center of International Educational Integration Olga Guseva, Director of the Center for International Education Elena Pakhomenko, Head of International Cooperation Department Olga Makarova.

The Memorandum of understanding between MGSU and BUCEA was signed at the meeting. The Memorandum is aimed at promoting mutually beneficial cooperation, developing scientific research, updating educational programs, providing high-quality training, retraining, advanced training of specialists, etc. The parties also discussed the prospects for cooperation, the importance of joint scientific research and the development of joint educational programs both at the Bachelor's and Master's levels for the training of highly qualified specialists for the construction industry. Following the negotiations, Director of the Directorate of Scientific and Technical Projects Oleg Kabantsev, conducted a tour of the Educational Research Laboratory of Aerodynamic and Aeroacoustic Tests of Building Construction for members of the Chinese delegation, demonstrating a unique scientific installation "Large Research Gradient Wind Tunnel."

Moreover, MGSU is proud to be a member university of the he Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium (BRAUIC); MGSU students annually take part in the Belt and Road International Student Competition.
